Fondy High bomb threat rumor proves false | fdlreporter.com | Fond du Lac Reporter

At around 11 AM Principal Jon Wiltzius had announced that the administration had heard rumors of a bomb threat taking place during a pep rally which started today at 2:15 PM. The school administration and the Fond du Lac police department had completed an investigation according to the district's safety procedures and deemed the threat "non-credible". The students were told that the days schedules would remain the same.

The rally continued without any incident and the students were released at around 3 PM.

Walking in a Winter Wonderland

Well I can finally say winter is here in Wisconsin and it is not leaving! Earlier this evening the National Weather Service upgraded their Winter Storm Warning to a Blizzard Warning:

A BLIZZARD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT CST WEDNESDAY NIGHT.

* TIMING: SNOW WILL BE HEAVY OVER SOUTHERN WISCONSIN THIS EVENING. SOME THUNDERSNOW IS ALSO POSSIBLE. THE HEAVY SNOW IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE THROUGH THE NIGHT....

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS: 10 TO 14 INCHES IS EXPECTED BY WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON MOST PLACES... WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS.

I think the big kicker will be the winds:

* WINDS: EAST WIND 15 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 35 MPH THIS EVENING
Schools all across the state have taken this as a warning and have canceled classes for Wednesday.
