A girl named Laura...

As I look back on the past 18 almost years I think of all the things I've done. While some things are not as great as others I've managed to get through them. From dealing with my parents divorce up to dealing with school, I've made it. Now with one more year of high school I can look ahead to everything I have going for me. For one I have some really great friends that make me feel more comfortable. But most of all there's someone named Laura. Who's Laura you might ask? Well Laura just so happens to be my fiancée. But it didn't start that way. She was just this girl I could vaguely remember from my 10th grade study hall. No one real special. But then one day...it hit me. She started sitting at our lunch table. I didn't really know her. Hell the first day she sat there I didn't know her name, but the next day I knew I was for sure in love...to a girl named Laura. I hid my feelings from her. There were so much "red tape" that needed cutting and I wasn't ready to begin that journey. Then came along 7th hour study hall of my Junior year. I got there early and found a group of friends to sit by. But all of the sudden I saw her. It was Laura walking into my study hall like an angel in flight. Her beauty just lit up my heart. I knew from that moment we were meant to be together forever. So I ended up moving tables so I could sit next to her. I still felt a little nervous, but I was thinking "I have a chance!" So I started flirting just a little. And I was amazed to find she was returning the favor and flirting back. Soon enough we were together. She was a senior and I a junior but that didn't matter! I loved her so much! We'd send little note to each other while passing to our classes. Along with short text messages that we hope wouldn't be found out by teachers (but they were a few times). I felt so happy I could be with this amazing person! Then summer came and it was the most amazing summer of my life! We spent almost every waking minute together! We went on picnics, dinners, bowling, and so much more! As summer was coming to an end I thought, "I need to have this summer go out huge." Eventually (through a few hints) it came to me. I needed to propose. And sure enough I did. And she said YES! So now we are engaged and looking into our future. Laura is now a student at UW-Stout and 4 hours away. But that's ok. She's still here in my heart always. I get to visit her for a weekend every month at it's amazing! I can't wait to spend every waking minute with her! So now we sit here and wonder what the future will bring....me and my girl Laura.
